1/12/2007 - NARA BOARD MEETING - was held in Canberra on 1 December 2007. The meeting was followed by a joint board meeting with the National Sprint Racing Assoc.Ltd. Discussions relating to when and where racing would resume took up a major part of the meeting as EI is still a major problem for the Australian Horse Industry. The impact on the Industry Australia wide is becoming apparent as event managers come to terms with planning requirements and responsibilities. It is hoped some detail can be provided on this issue within the near future.
The joint meeting with NSRA addressed when and where racing will resume and renewal of the Memorandum of Undersdtanding between the two groups. Joint lobbying and promotional activities will continue indefinitely as it is in the best interests of Australian Arabian Racing to work cohesively and cooperatively with the wider racing industry.
