NARA is Proud to Nominate VICTORIA SHAW as the
Australian Nominee for the RACING TV PRESENTER

Introduced six years ago to the HH Sheikh Mansoor Purebred Arabian Flat Racing Festival by NARA at Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne, Victoria broadcast the first Arabian races in Australia to take place at a metropolitan racetrack. Live to Abu Dhabi in front of an on course audience of approximately 28,000 people, the same night that Black Caviar also contested and won her fourteenth race on the same card, this was the first time that the HH Sheikh Mansoor festival had touched down in Australia. Since that time Victoria has gone on to be a regular broadcaster of Arabian racing in Australia, appreciating not only the beauty and versatility of the breed, but also the many further opportunities Arabian racing can present to racing participants beyond the thoroughbred and standardbred world.

HARC AGM 5th March 2017

A very positive meeting took place yesterday for The Heritage Arabian Racing Club (HARC) here in Abu Dhabi.  Holding only its 2nd AGM & Conference, the growth of HARC has exceeded all expectations which has been very gratifying according to Ms. Deirdre Hyde, Honorary Secretary for HARC and Breeding Manager at Wrsan Stables for His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, whose inspiration to form HARC in February 2015 has been warmly welcomed around the world.

HARC is delighted to welcome 4 new countries into the fold.  Spain, Italy, Uruguay and Romania were approved to join the 15 existing countries who already support and participate in HARC's initiative to preserve the purebred Arabian of traditional type and bloodlines.  After a full morning of feedback and discussion for the long term future growth from international guests made up from the core of purist Arabian racing minds, the afternoon conference: Racing, Marketing & Breeding for HARC did not disappoint.  Fascinating talks were given by Anna Stojanowska on Polish Arabian Dam Lines from Sabda to Sephora, followed by Deirdre Hyde's wonderful 'History of Arabian Racing'.  Finally on a more practical note, leading marketing expert, Evie Tubbs Sweeney from the USA, led us through the path she has taken on delivery of a series of hugely successful HARC road shows to 5 of the top racing & Arabian show community destinations in America.

We would like to thank all our guests for their tireless work and continueing support, and a special thanks to His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nayhan for his inspiration.

A full HARC report from the AGM will be reported soon.
